Boy Scout Ceremony at the Cathedral

Those Scouts and Scouts Leaders that have achieved their medals and emblems or have been nominated for various awards are honored each year at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark.  At this service Scouts and Leaders are formally presented and recognized with their awards by the Archdiocese.

For the 2023-24 School Year the Scouting Ceremony will be on Sunday June 9th at 3pm at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

To have your Pack, Troop or Crew receive their awards at the Cathedral Ceremony the forms on our website must be completed and sent to us no later then May 10th so that we may review and prepare for this event.

Opportunities exist at Scout Sunday for Packs/ Troops and Crews to  help with being ushers, lectors and also for the Pack/ Troop/ Crew to have their flag in the Opening Procession.

Eagle Scout Recognition

Obtaining the Rank of Eagle Scout is the highest Honor a Scout can obtain. The Catholic Committee on Scouting would like to honor these young men and women on their accomplishment. To have your Eagle Scout receive commendations from the CCOS for your Eagle Scout please download or fill out the forms.

The first one is a fillable PDF that can completed and then emailed, faxed or mailed to us. The second one is a traditional PDF Doc and can be downloaded and then also emailed, faxed or mailed to us. PLEASE ALLOW a MINIMUM of ONE WEEK for us to process these!
