What is Continuing the Journey? It is a weekend long conference for all those that minister, work, volunteer and most importantly walk with young people on their faith journey - Youth Ministry Leaders, Diocesan Youth Ministry Staff, Volunteers, Clergy, Religious, PCL’s, DRE’s, Catechists, Campus Ministers and more!
What began as simple conversation of "what if" has blossomed into a great opportunity and offering for all those on the East Coast to attend a "National Style Conference" right in their backyard! Our goal is to offer a "quality program for an affordable price!" and to "help empower those that work with the young church".
The first Continuing the Journey conference was held in April of 2012. April 2014 saw the return of Continuing the Journey, April 2016 was the 3rd conference and most recently in April of 2018 we hosted the 4th Conference! The 5th Conference was scheduled for 2020 - but was postponed due to Covid. April 29-May 1st will be the FIFTH Continuing the Journey conference .
Continuing the Journey takes place on the grounds of the St. John Paul II Youth Retreat Center, 499 Belgrove Drive in Kearny NJ. We are located minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Newark Penn Station.

Please know that we are keeping a pulse on the current realities regarding Covid-19 and are making plans accordingly while also following the current guidance from the Governors Office and the Archdiocese of Newark. Due to the fluid nature of the shifting landscape that impacts our planning efforts, we are holding some announcements and final plans regarding Covid-19 protocols until we get closer to the event.
